Saint Polly

My younger daughter, Eddie, and I have decided that Polly is a Saint or not very bright...we haven't decided which title is the correct label. Polly has spent the last few months painting every room in their house, making new curtains, purchasing a few pieces of new furniture and doing a general spruce up on their home. After umpteen trial pints of paint the correct shade of barely yellow was finally found for the family room. The new furniture was delivered, pictures hung on the wall and everything looked GREAT. Then it happened. Polly turned into their driveway just in time to see husband Tony unloading a piece of furniture. It was a recliner. A ugly recliner with heat, massage and a built in cooler. Here is the real kicker... the fabric is camouflage. Uh oh. Polly said something along the lines of, "May I ASSUME that is going to the office?" Nooooo....Tony looked all pitiful and the chair now has a place of honor in the newly decorated family room. What do you think...Saint? Or not real bright?

Oh, lordy. A camo la-z-boy in an otherwise meticulously decorated living room? I think I'd have a conniption fit.

Otherwise, I'd make him pay dearly.
Verrrrry dearly.

As in, "Darling, you're going to take me antique shopping today." With no complaints. And dinner of my choice.

And then threaten him with permanent injury if he dares to wear his shoes in the house. If I have to tolerate a camo chair, then he better not even THINK of messing up my carpet.

And I'd paint the bathroom pink. :)

Wow, I feel better already and it isn't even my house!

I know exactly how Polly feels.
My husband insists on keeping one of the chairs from our very first living room suite.(25 years ago)
I finally talked him into putting it up in the bedroom.
The springs are broke and he justs keep sitting there, going down and down toward the floor. Grinning all the way!
I vote she is SAINT Polly.

No doubt in my mind. She is and should ramin for her entire life
Saint Polly. Reminds me of the time my husband was gettings serious of wills and etc. He asked me. "If something happened to me what would you do?" he asked Without missing a beat I replied "Get new drapes!" He knew I hated the ones that came with the house when we bought it. LOL

I don't know who Polly is, but I am so very sorry for her. (It really heats and cools? NOT going to mention that to any husband of mine.)

I have a recliner with fish on it in my living room-so I may not be a good judge!

I think she's a brilliant. Just think how many arguments you could win with "I let you keep that camo chair in the living room".
