The other side of the coin.

For someone who is sporting such a short haircut I sure have spent a lot of time thinking about hair the last few days. Fortunately I have thick hair that grows fast so I do recover quickly but those first couple of weeks can be brutal. How long do you keep your hairbrushes? I don't know if this is admirable or just plain sick but I have had my round yellow hair brush which is my favorite brush EVER since 1984. Nope, that is not a typo..my hairbrush is 24 years old and YES it has been washed. Once in the 90's. Oh that's not true I wash it a couple of times a month. Right after I brush the cat. Oh that's not true either. Well, the washing part is but not the cat part. Am I the only person who develops weird attachments to their possessions?

I see no problem having a 24 year old hairbrush. (1984 is 24 years ago? Really?) My own problem with hairbrushes is that they evaporate. They don't just get lost, because I don't ever find them. They might also vaporize. Or maybe they are abducted by particularly hairy aliens.

No, that is not weird at all...
I think I have clothes older than my Dr, dentist, and all these professionals that keep looking younger and younger lately.
Oh, and I do have real old hair brushes too. I just throw them in the washing machine every once in a while. Comes out new looking. Of course I can't see good now either. lol.

No, no, not weird at all. Not in my world, anyway.

today my 14-yr-old daughter is wearing a coat she swiped from me, that I confiscated from my father, that he had before I was born . . .

the list is much longer.
